Charlie's Angels 2011 on DVD
The short lived 2011 TV show re-boot of Charlie's Angels hits Sony's on-demand DVD.  The DVD will only be sold online and will not be found in stores. 

The show starred:  Minka Kelly, Rachael Taylor, Annie Ilonzeh, Ramon Rodriguez, and Victor Garber

This product is manufactured on demand using DVD-R recordable media. Amazon.com's standard return policy will apply.

Heavenly news!! A few new things have hit DVD!! Kate Jackson's thrid season of Scarecrow and Mrs. King, Cheryl Ladd's Grace Kelly - are both now out on DVD.  Ladd's Love's Everlasting Courage will be out on May 8th!

Churley's Angels!!
Once upon a time in there were three little angels who when to the Long Beach Police Academy!  Sarrah Facet, Jackie Lynn Smithe & Kit Falxon but they now work for Churley as undercover detectives!  

Now playing at The All American Melodrama Theater & Music Hall is the new show Churley's Angels!  The show runs Friday, Saturday & Sunday -  Now until May 6th in Long Beach, California. The theater's website is at www.allamericanmelodrama.com

In the show, Chruley's Angels are hired by Tony Velour after the Boogie Queen Angie Bellagamba has been kidnapped. The Angels have to go undercover at the big Disco Dance Contest at Studio 45 to find who the kidnapper is.  Will they find her in time?  Will the Angels get out of their perils?? Will Mr. Bossy ever leave the bar???  You will just have to go to the theater to watch the first episode of Churley's Angels!!

Churley's Angels is done in Melodrama type of theater which allows the audience to interact more with the show.  Such as if the villain Rick Sleaze walks in - the audience boos, if one of the Angels walk on stage - they ahhhhhhhh.

The show was written and directed by Ken Parks, who really has the pulse of retro TV style! The cast rotates so at any given night the cast will be different!   The cast we saw was heavenly!  The Angels were fun, smart and solved the case!

Chruley's Angels is a fun show for anyone who loves Charlie's Angels!  Go relax, buy some endless popcorn and enjoy a night of laughs.

Tanya Roberts attended the Night of a 100 Stars Oscar party in Beverly Hills, CA.  Tanya looked stunning in her back and gold dress.

Smith to guest star on CSI
Next week Jaclyn Smith will shoot her guest shot on the hit TV series CSI.

The show is in it's 12th season and Jaclyn Smith plays the mother of Wallace Langham's lab tech character's David Hodges. 

Sources report on the internet that the story line has Mrs. Hodges (Smith) makeing a surprise visit to see her son and gets to interact with all his co-workers in an amusing fashion.

From everything I’ve read, when Charlie’s Angels happened it seems like that was overnight success. Was that shocking for you?

JS:
Sort of surprising! It was fun because we had this…you know ‘The Girls” Kate (Jackson) and Farrah (Fawcett) and I… had this very young mentality. Yea!, you don’t stand in line at the movies…and if you went to Disneyland you were put on the ride first. ‘Yea! This isn’t so bad!’

But you realize that it is work – 18 hours a day. The concept of that show was all the angels alive on the screen at once.

Smith to attend fundraiser
"The Best Party on the Shore" is a fundraiser gala which will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2012 held in Maryland.

Attends include Jaclyn Smith, Larry King, Melanie Griffith, Tippi Hedren and S. Epatha Merkerson will be attending the UMES 2012 Gala.

Ticket range from $150.00 to $500.00 with all proceeds to benefit University of Maryland East Shore Gala Endowment Fund, which provides scholarships to deserving UMES Students.

Farrah's Birthday
February 2nd is Farrah Fawcett's Birthday. 

This stunning all-American beauty played Jill Munroe on the TV series Charlie's Angels. Farrah would have been 65 years old. 

Farrah lost her battle with cancer in 2009. 

We all miss Farrah terribly....but she is looking down on all of us right now!

Bernstein the Starmaker
Starmaker is a book by Farrah Fawcett’s 70s publicist Jay Bernstein. Bernstein passed way in 2006. He was also a consultant to the NBC’s TV movie “Behind the Camera: Charlie’s Angels”.

Charlie's Angels Reboot Canceled
The sad but not unexpected news came today that the new retooled Charlie's Angels show starring, Mika Kelly, Rachael Taylor and Annie Ilonzeh was canceled.

Production was stopped today (10/14/11) on the series but ABC-TV announced the network will air all the episodes already filmed.

The show had been losing ratings each week.  The show aired on ABC-TV on Thursdays at 8pm. Yesterdays "Angels in Chains" remake episode came in last in the 8pm hour ratings.

Cheryl Ladd's Hallmark film, Love’s Everlasting Courage will airs Saturday October 1st on The Hallmark Channel.

In the film....Clark Davis (Brown) struggles to maintain his land and support his family during a long drought. With a bank loan to repay, his wife, Ellen (Mond), takes a job in town as a seamstress, but soon becomes ill with scarlet fever and passes away. Devasted to lose his beloved wife, Clark and his young daughter Missie (Morgan Lily, “2012”) turn to his parents Irene (Ladd) and Lloyd (Boxleitner) for support. As Clark struggles mount with the threat of losing his home and the sudden loss of his wife, he considers sending Missie to live with his parents. But when Missie runs away after accidentally setting the house on fire, Clark faces the possibility of losing the person he loves most.

Look Back Charlie's Angels....35 years ago!!
Back on this day, September 22, 1976, Charlie's Angels premiered on ABC-TV.  The critics hated it and before anyone knew what happened Charlie's Angels became a worldwide hit and made rock-stars out of the show stars: Kate Jackson, Farrah Fawcett and Jaclyn Smith. 

The Angels were everywhere on lunch boxes, posters, magazine covers, toy shelves! They even ended up on the cover of TIME magazine.  Charlie's Angels was the hottest thing since good old American apple pie.

Charlie's Angels was big but the break out star was Farrah with her brunt orange swimsuit poster made her a phenomenon and a 70s icon over night.

Farrah left the show only after one year. She was replaced by Cheryl Ladd who played her little sister.  Then in 1979, Kate Jackson left the series and was replaced by Shelley Hack who only lasted on season. Then Tanya Roberts became the last and final Angel for the final season.  The show ran for five years from 1976-1981.

Charlie's Angels lived on in syndication and the producers tried to re-create the series in 1988 with "Angels '88" for Fox TV which never happened.  

Charlie's Angels hit the big screen twice in 2000 & 2003. Both films grossed over $120 million dollars each.

Charlie's Angels changed the face of TV for woman.  It showed that woman can do anything a man can do and better.  The show even showed Hollywood that three woman could get and maintain huge TV ratings.

To celebrate the anniversary Sony Pictures has released all 5 season of the series including the much waited fifth and final season on iTunes this week.

Today, a new set of Charlie's Angels hit the ABC-TV screen tonight at 8pm.  It's unsure if these Angels will earn their wings but for sure they have to thank Farrah, Kate & Jaclyn for blazing the way to be able to star their own TV series.
